Obituary:

68, of Port Huron, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at home.
She was born in Port Huron May 27, 1950, the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Myers) Eagle.
Mary Lou enjoyed knitting, crafts, needlepoint, and crosswords. Time spent with family was an important part of her life, especially at holidays. She liked visiting with neighbors at her home.
Surviving is a daughter, Rachel (James) Yonts of Clyde Township; three grandchildren, Katlyn (Mark) Knebler of Roseville, James Yonts of Lansing, and Jessica Yonts of Clyde Township; three great-grandchildren, Kamren, Talen, and Jameson; five sisters, Emilie (Gary) Gubanche, Ruth Eagle, Donna Eagle, Bernice Sorrell, and Betty Sommerville; one brother, Gary Eagle; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son James Ervin Mathews III and five brothers, Earl Jr., Donald, Kenneth, Percy and Lawrence Eagle.
The family honors the memory of Mary Lou and invites you to visit and share memories on Saturday, March 23, 2019, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home-North. A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Ryan Simmons, associate pastor of Sparlingville Baptist Church will officiate. Inurnment in Woodland Cemetery will take place at a later date.
