Name: Ronald T. Preston Date: March 6th, 2010 Obituary: Ronald Preston, 71 of Pt. Edward, pasted away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, March 6, 2010. He was born June 27, 1938 in Detroit, MI and joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. He traveled around the world while stationed aboard the USS Simon Lake and particularly enjoyed the time he spent in Spain. Following his retirement from the Navy, Ron went to work for BASF in Charlotte, NC as a human resources manager. On September 22, 1993, Ron married Wendy L. Bartlett in Lancaster SC. He was a Mason and a Shriner and spent years as a Shriner clown. He enjoyed traveling, boating and especially enjoyed his children. Ron is survived by his wife Wendy L Bartlett; four children, Mark (Delilah) Kleinhenz, Laura (Daniel) Klienhenz, Alexis and Cameron Preston; Three grandchildren, Grant & Chase Kleinhenz, and Willa Hinerfeld; two brothers, John “Jack” (Katie) Preston and Don (Beverly) Long; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. A Memorial Reception will take place on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Sarnia Yacht Club Clubhouse, 1220 Fort St., Sarnia, Ontario.
