Constance "Connie" Jeanne Innes Stroud Brusca
82, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
She was born in Port Huron, Michigan on March 18, 1939, the daughter of George and Norine (Lambert) Innes.
Connie was the owner of George Innes Men’s Wear, after purchasing it from her mother, after the death of her father. She had also been employed by Vollmer Gifts and Lamplighter Gifts, which she enjoyed in her “retirement years”.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, four times ladies president of Vivian Elks Women Group 343, one time member of Port Huron Quota Club, and sorority member of Alpha Sigma Phi Sorority. Connie was also a former member of the Fort Gratiot Parks and Recreation Board.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Norine Innes; sister, Suzanne L. Bennett; husbands, Ronald Stroud and Frances Brusca; nieces, Wendy N. Ross and Monica R. Thompson; and nephew, Michael G. Bennett.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl L. Stroud of Fort Gratiot, Michigan and Jill Anne (Sheraton) Moore of Chesapeake, Virginia; beloved grandchildren, Madalyn A. Moore of Charlottesville, Virginia and Zachary C. Moore of Chesapeake, Virginia; brother-in-law, Edward Robinson of Goodells; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as her favorite coffee group girls and coffee guys from McDonalds.
