Obituary

Gary Gordon Whiting

77, of Port Huron, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Marwood Manor Nursing and Rehab surrounded by his family.

He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on April 12, 1942, son of the late Gordon and Doris (Knight) Whiting.

Gary Married LoAnn Wegener on April 7, 1962, at First Congregational Church in Port Huron.

Gary was a graduate of Port Huron High School Class of 1960 and was a lifetime member of the Blue Water Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife LoAnn of 57 years is his daughter and son, Julie (Kevin) Davis of Whitehouse, Tennessee and Scott (Tina) Whiting of Marine City; four grandchildren, Justin Whiting, Olivia (Sam) Rivera, Sean Davis, and Matthew Davis; brother, William (Cherie) Whiting of China Township; cousins, Carol (Andy) Townsend, Tom Townsend; many special nieces and nephews; and several dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother John Whiting.

A memorial service will be held at Blue Water Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1365 6th St, Marysville, MI 48040 on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements were provided by Smith Family Funeral Home of Port Huron.

Memorials are suggested to the Blue Water Seventh-day Adventist Church of Marysville or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
