Obituary

89, of St. Clair Shores, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 5, 1930, son of the late Bernard and Mabel (Lewis) Heenan.

Joe graduated from Holy Redeemer High School and went on to study at the University of Detroit where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in business. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years. Joe served his country with the United States Army in Korea from 1951-1953. He loved traveling and was an active parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Joseph is survived by four nephews and one niece, Michael Shea, Brian (Lori) Shea, Tom (Monica) Williams, Dave (Melissa) Williams, and Sara (Ed) Dunkelberger; and five great-nieces and nephews, Ellen, Melissa, Conner, Alex, and Sydney.

Joseph was preceded in death by four siblings, John Heenan, Dan Heenan, Rosalie Shea, and Joan Williams; and nephew, Daniel Shea.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, St. Clair Shores, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. Those not able to be in attendance can watch online at, https://sjascs.org/st-joan-live Msgr. G. Michael Bugarin will officiate. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
