Obituary

52, of Brockway Township, passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at home.

He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on March 21, 1968, the son of Gregory Leideker and Lynda Borowski.

Joe was a 1986 graduate of Yale High School. He worked for Chrysler in Marysville for 25 years and was a car loving enthusiast who was always racing and working on cars. He liked working out and even competed in body building events. Joe will be missed and loved by many.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Greg and Mary Leideker of Brockway Township; girlfriend, Lisa Deitering; siblings, Justin Laeder of Marysville, Holly (Cory) Bowman of Avoca, Adam Leideker of Port Huron, and Christopher (Holly) Leideker of Port Huron; step-sister, Michelle Leideker; nieces, Harper and Avery; step-daughter, Taryn; step-granddaughter, Lucia; as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynda Borowski; uncle, Paul Leideker; and his grandparents, John and Wanda Leideker.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment and graveside services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Yale on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. Arrangements were provided by Smith Family Funeral Home of Port Huron.
