Joseph Alfred LePage was born December 6th, 1940, and recently passed on October 22nd
2020. He was a painter, bass guitar player, computer genius, nature lover and self-proclaimed
astrologer who thought he was quite the ladies’ man.

He met and married our mother, Cheryl LePage, who converted him to Christianity and away
from his devilish ways - mostly. He is survived by Cheryl (now his ex wife) and their four
daughters (us girls): Suzanne-Marie LePage, Tina-Louise LePage, Amie-Lynn LePage and
Annette-Faye Frostic (LePage); His grandchildren: Angella Smith, Ashlee LePage, David Mertz,
Gabriel LePage, Joseph Galloway, Nick Obee, Ollyssea Henne. His great grand-children:
Landynn Monroe, Loralei Smith, Leilani Smith, Emma Flowers, Madison Mertz, Catalina Mertz
and Jaxson Metz; plus numerous other children (and their families) from his days before Cheryl.

A human life is a collection of stories, and our father’s could be told in many volumes. I’m only
writing of what I know - our time with dad. Our fondest memories include the long drives
together down dusty country roads to see the autumn leaves change color while listening to
country music - usually Willie Nelson, or smelling his pipe smoke while telling us stories like they
were the only thing that mattered. He loved camping and his model planes and messing around
with his telescope. His creativity held no bounds. He worked with stained glass making us
jewelry boxes and a lamp. He was an exceptional painter and painted some beautiful pieces. He
was a great woodworker and made us all toys, and was always building something.

He taught us many life lessons, like how to be independent, how to swim, what the
constellations are, and how to paint the sunrise at 5:30 a.m. He encouraged our creativity in
every aspect. He loved the water and provided us with an idyllic childhood home on the lake.

Dad had a very big heart and a laugh that soothed the soul. And although he wasn’t the perfect
dad, he belonged to us and we loved him.

People wishing to honor our father may post memories or photos to his page.
