Obituary for Joshua Phillip "Big Mac" McIlhagga

Joshua Phillip McIlhagga

29, of Traverse City, formerly of Port Huron, passed away very unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 11, 1991, the son of Mark and Maxine (Ryan) McIlhagga.

Josh worked for a landscaping company, a job which he loved. He loved spending time with his daughter, niece, and nephew. Josh was an avid swimmer, liked fishing, and riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. He loved his dog Bella.

He is survived by his daughter, Kaylee McIlhagga; mother and father, Mark and Maxine McIlhagga of Port Huron; sister, Molly Stocks of Harrison Township, brother, David McLeod of Port Huron; nephew, Russell Rathburn; niece, Ashlynn Rathburn; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends..

Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erika and Robert McIlhagga and William Ryan; and his aunt, Barbara Cudia..

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the future, when the restrictions on events are lifted. Arrangements were provided by Smith Family Funeral Home of Port Huron.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to his daughter, Kaylee.
