Obituary

86, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on October 9, 1933, son of the late Walter and Clara (Bumbard) Wright.

Nathanial Duncan Wright married Earllene Sharon McKay on February 6, 1956, in New York.

Dan served his country with the United States Army from 1955-1957. He liked tinkering with things around the house. He liked spending time with his friends and neighbors in the garage, Most importantly, Dan loved the time spent with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife Earllene of 63 years is his children, Sharon Fetterman of Ohio, Dene (Bill Hill) Wright of Fort Gratiot, Allanna (Carl) Hinkley of Fort Gratiot, Clara Register of Fort Gratiot, Lottie (Scott) Daggett of Algonac, Bill (Karen) Wright of Port Huron Township; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, brother, Henry Wright; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Wright; sister, Clara Wright, and two brothers, Walter and Harold Wright.

The family honors the memory of Dan and invites you to visit and share memories on Monday, November 4, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Smith Family Funeral Home-Hancock Street. Pastor Brian Ake will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Port Huron Township
