Shirley Jean McIntyre
90, of Marysville, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021.
She was born in Port Huron, Michigan on October 1, 1930, daughter of the late Stephen and Grace Hall.
Shirley married Gerald McIntyre on March 26, 1949 in Port Huron. They were married for over 66 years.
Shirley graduated from Port Huron High School with the class of 1949. After graduation she worked for Prestolite for 29 years until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Ladies of Moose #99. She enjoyed gambling, playing cards, BINGO, dancing, and bowling. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Linda (John) Mitchell, Leonard (Diane) McIntyre, Larry (Nancy) McIntyre, and Lucille Godber; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald McIntyre; daughter, Louise McIntyre; grandson, Steve Bedford; and great-grandson, Joshua Zeros.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home- Hancock Street. Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Those not able to attend, will be able to watch the live stream of Shirley's funeral service under her obituary page on the funeral home website. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fort Gratiot.
